This is an excellent professional opportunity for a recently qualified or experienced coach to join Stanborough Secondary School, to coach from years 7-11. The successful candidate should be able to contribute to the wider school Sports programme, through supporting a variety of traditional and non-traditional sports. Applications would be particularly welcomed from those with specialisms in a particular area.

The post is for 1 day per week (Mondays).

Person Specification

Qualification and Development:A degree in relevant subject.
Evidence of recent and relevant continuing professional development.
PGCE (or equivalent teaching qualification)
Leadership:Be fully committed to the vision of the School and promote its aims positively.
To be fully committed to achieving the highest of standards and best practice across all aspects of the School.
To be fully committed to change and able to adopt and promote a forward thinking and innovative approach to development.
Evidence of leading on an Initiative which has led to raising standards.
Recent Professional Experience;Teaching across the ability range within specified subject/s.
Successful teaching experience across key stages 3 & 4 within the specified subject/s.
Experience in leading whole school sports events.
Evidence of achieving good learning progress from classes within at least two different key stages.
Good classroom management.Experience of supporting change and securing improvement for students.
Experience of being a form tutor.
Evidence of contributing to the personal development of pupils.
Evidence of achieving outstanding learning progress from classes within at least two different key stages.
Excellent classroom management.
Working in partnership with other educational institutions or agencies.
Experience of leading a curriculum development initiative and securing improvement.
Experience of undertaking self-evaluation processes.  
       Knowledge;  An excellent knowledge and understanding of your teaching subject/s.
A good understanding of classroom          management and engagement strategies.
An excellent knowledge of up to date classroom pedagogy planning and assessment.
An understanding of the collection and use of data to inform targets and future teaching, leading to improved outcomes.
A good knowledge and understanding of the role of a form tutor.

A good understanding of current educational issues, theory and practice, with particular regard to:
