  1. WHAT IS SUMMER CAMP?

    Summer Camp offers language, music, sports or craft lessons for three hours in the morning from 9-12.30. Activities and trips are offered in afternoon and evenings. Students aged 10 to 16 can join.
  2. HOW LONG IS THE CAMP?

    Each Summer Camp session lasts 2 weeks. Day Students arrive at 09.00 and leave at 17.30.
  3. WHERE ARE STAFF MEMBERS FROM?

    Our Staff is International, so our experienced Teachers and Counselors will help you feel at home.
  4. CAN I GO WITH FRIENDS TO CAMP?

    Yes, the more the merrier! Ask our staff members about our friend & family discounts.
  5. WILL I NEED MONEY?

    Everything is included at camp, but you may need money for snacks, phone cards and souvenirs from our Tuck Shop and while on trips.
  6. WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

    Sun Screen, Sun Glasses, Swimming Costume, Sports Clothes, Comfortable Shoes, Pen, Pencil, Ruler and a Dictionary. Students staying overnight should bring pyjamas, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, towel and slippers.
  7. WHAT SHOULD I LEAVE AT HOME?

    IPads, Ipods, MP3/4 Players, Jewellery and valuables.
  8. DO I NEED MEDICAL INSURANCE?

    Yes, please give us these details at registration.
  9. CAN I CONTACT MY PARENTS?

    Yes, you can e-mail them from school computers in the main school or from boarding school lounges. Alternatively, you can buy a phone card at our Tuck Shop and call home.

  11. WHAT ARE THE CAMP RULES?

    These will be given to you on arrival, but these are for your own safety and enjoyment.
  12. WHAT DOES THE COST INCLUDE?

    All campers get lessons, trips, activities, a t-Shirt and lunch. Overnight campers get breakfast, dinner and accommodation.
  13. HOW DO I PAY?

    Send a cheque by post or make an electronic bank transfer. A bank transfer form is enclosed in this information pack.
  14. IS THE DEPOSIT REFUNDABLE?

    A deposit of one hundred pounds is required for each session and for each person booked for Summer Camp.  All deposits are non refundable.  Balance refunds will be paid at the prevailing exchange rate up to one (1) month from the Summer Camp session booked for attendance. Terms and Conditions apply.
  15. HOW DO I GET TO CAMP?

    If you live in the UK, your parents should deliver and collect you from camp. If you live outside UK, we will collect you from Heathrow or Luton airports. We will meet you at the airport when your flight arrives. Wait at Arrivals and look for the STANBOROUGH SCHOOL sign. IF you cannot see us, wait at the airport designated ‘Meeting Point’ and keep looking for us. Please do not leave the Meeting Point – we will find you!
  16. WHAT’S THE UK VOLTAGE?

    UK voltage is 240 and plugs are large with three pins. Please ensure that your equipment accepts 240 volts and has a plug adaptor.
  17. CAN I DO LAUNDRY?

    Laundry is done by the school once a week. You must LABEL your clothes BEFORE you come. Write your name in CAPITAL LETTERS on the labels of your clothes so that you can collect them easily after they have been washed. We can not wash silk or wool. Bring cotton or polyester clothing.
  18. WHAT ABOUT THE FOOD?

    The school offers a fresh and balanced selection of vegetarian options. A salad or breakfast bar is offered in every meal, and all are encouraged to avoid wasting but taking only what they are capable of eating. When available, seconds will be offered once all visitors have been served once. Everyone is expected to return their own trays and other dishes to the washing area.
  19. HOW DO I SIGN UP?

    Just fill in the Summer Camp Application Pack and send us your deposit.
