No extra curricular programme is complete without a strong sports programme. Our sports programme is designed to promote a healthy lifestyle. Students are also provided with numerous and meaningful opportunities to hone the skills that will enable them to become team players who are magnanimous in victory and gracious in defeat. As students collaborate with their peers to learn the rules of the games they play, they also cultivate important life skills such as tolerance, tenacity, self-control and the ability to handle victory and defeat well. They also learn the truth behind the words of Babe Ruth:

“The way a team plays as a whole determines its success. You may have the greatest bunch of individual stars in the world, but if they don’t play together, the club won’t be worth a dime.”

Stanborough’s 40 acres of fields and a well-equipped gymnasium, allow students to play a variety of sports, such as:

  • Cricket
  • Hockey
  • Football
  • Volleyball
  • Tennis
  • Netball
  • Gymnastics
  • Badminton
  • Basketball

Students are also provided with meaningful opportunities to compete with students from other schools all year round. These activities provide meaningful opportunities for students to develop a healthy sense of competition while internalizing important values such as tolerance and fairness.
