Produce an artist research about a Vincent Van Gogh self-portrait.
Log onto the Internet. In the Google search engine, type your homework research title (Van Gogh Self Portrait). Choose a work of art and then cut and paste it into a Microsoft Word document. Place the image beneath the title (the artists’ name). Go to the Google search engine again and this time type in a search for the artist that made this work and see how much you can find out about the artist through different search engines like Wikipedia, etc. Then write about the artist using your own words. Choose an interesting font for the main paragraph to make the writing beautiful and use the format below using artistic words that show you have really looked at the work.

The first paragraph gives us basic information –

1. The name of the artist, the title of the work and the year it was made.

Criteria
What are women protesting about these days, do you know? Find out then, design a poster that could be used in an organised peaceful march. Think about an important issue, then design a poster, badge, sash or banner to make people aware of that issue. Your art piece must have a strong visual impact as people only have a few seconds to read and take in the powerful image as you march past them.

Do not use old suffragette images can draw modern/contemporary designs or images of women and girls today.

The task:

Write a short essay describing ONE of the Biblical events below in graphic detail as though you had actually been present – each has a reference alongside to show you where to find it in the Bible.

Imagine being ONE OF THE PEOPLE mentioned in the Gospel account – such as Mary or one of the Apostles. Or INVENT A CHARACTER such as a bridesmaid at the wedding at Cana, or a relative of the blind man healed by Christ.

Note that some incidents are mentioned in more than one of the four Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. You may like to look up other references too.

It will make sense to cross reference (read about the same event from different sources/books/authors) the event: what happened just before, and what happened afterwards could also make you essay more interesting. You may even think about publishing your story even if you don’t win! I will set an illustration competition to reflect you essay visually in summer term 1 for your art homework.

Your essay should use Ariel font, size 12 and must be your own unaided work.
Year 7 must write 1-2 A4 sheets

Year 9 must write 2-4 A4 sheets
