Part Time Female Games Teacher  

Salary range: £10,639.40 – 12,266 according to qualifications and experience.

Commencement Date:  19 February 2018

Stanborough Secondary School is looking for a part time female games teacher to teach Key Stage 3 & 4  P.E. two days a week. Other duties will include being a co form tutor and other staff duties as assigned by the Faculty leader and/or Head Teacher.

Applicants ideally should have a relevant qualification and a passion for sports and plenty of enthusiasm and energy. The successful candidate should be able and willing to support the Christian ethos of this Seventh Day Adventist School.

International Stanborough School is looking for EFL & Humanities teachers

 We are in the process of creating a database of individuals who are qualified and experienced in teaching English as a foreign language (EFL) and Humanities to visiting students whose first language is not English. International Stanborough School typically receives between 10 – 15 groups of varying sizes from all over the world each academic year.

For EFL, the successful applicant will hold a degree in English and will be capable of teaching English as a Foreign Language to visiting international groups.  For Humanities, the successful applicant will ideally hold a degree in their area of speciality and be capable of teaching students whose first language is not English.

They will prepare and deliver appropriate learning materials and carry out assessments of students and their work.  They will also be required to:

  • prepare dynamic lessons, which will engage students
  • use communicative approach to teaching and learning
  • teach and effectively differentiate for speakers with different levels of proficiencies in the English language (levels A1-C1)

All applicants must be able to demonstrate excellent management of pupil behaviour. Experience of having worked with speakers of other languages will be an added advantage. Successful individuals will be paid an hourly rate and will be called upon as and when the need arises.

VOLUNTEER ICT TECHNICIAN

General Responsibilities

  1. Provide hardware & software technical support.
  2. Help assess the technical & functional capability of existing systems & contribute to the strategic plans of the department.
  3. Maintain the IT department’s asset register.
  4. Administer daily backup of networked data & assist in the restoration of same.
  5. Help maintain the department’s intranet.
  6. Undertake additional duties as required by the IT manager.

The post comes with a monthly stipend of £175.00 and includes all meals and accommodation.

VOLUNTEER MARKETING/PR ASSISTANT

Stanborough School is looking to employ a volunteer Marketing/PR Assistant to deal with the marketing needs of the Secondary School.

Commencement Date: Immediate Start

Responsibilities:

  1. To be responsible for handling all marketing related enquiries addressed to the School.
  2. Liaise with local businesses and newspapers regarding advertising and PR related activities.
  3. To work closely with the Headteacher to ensure that marketing activities are in the interest of the School.
  4. To be responsible for keeping the webpage content updated and consult with web design.
  5. To take part in the constant development of brochures, prospectuses and informative publications.
  6. To develop close relationships and be in constant contact with parents and Heads of feeder schools: primary schools in the London and Watford area.
  7. To be responsible for the organisation of events and activities related to Public Relations such as Year 6 days, Speech Night, College Days, Days of Fellowship etc.
  8. To be responsible for preparing promotional packages ie posters, flyers, leaflets in order to be used as advertising tools for promotional visits to local as well as international schools.
  9. To be responsible for publishing Stanborough School newsletter on a half-termly basis.
